TEACH AFRICA

Teach Africa offers a unique opportunity for brilliant students and researchers to volunteer as teachers in OXCAMP participating senior high schools in Africa. This is an exciting opportunity that will benefit both the school and the volunteer in terms of exchange of ideas and experiences. The programme will provide subsidised accommodation for the volunteers.. Travel and other costs are the responsibility of the volunteer. We have limited spaces available for the first OXCAMP Teach Africa programme. Preference will be given to volunteers who are willing and able to teach the following subjects: English, philosophy, mathematic, physics, chemistry, biology, computer science, creative writing, psychology, and sports science. Duration

The OXCAMP Teach Africa programme runs for a period of 6 weeks every summer from June to August.

Where?

Oxcamp Teach Africa programme runs in selected schools in Ghana. The schools include Nsutaman Senior High School, St Joseph Senior High, Presbyterian Boys Senior High School and Accra Academy in Ghana.  OXCAMP Teach Africa programme will be expanded in the future to include selected deprived schools in Nigeria, Gambia and other countries in Africa.

Residence

OXCAMP will provide subsidised accommodation for volunteers. The participating schools in the Teach Africa initiative are located in Ghana.
