Linda Nkatha Gichuyia

A current Gates Cambridge scholar, Linda is an Architect, Environmental design consultant and a tutorial fellow at the University of Nairobi. She has practiced as an Architect and has been involved in architectural research projects in Kenya, including research on Energy efficiency in buildings for the UNEP/UN-Habitat in Nairobi. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Architecture at the University of Cambridge.

Her PhD work seeks to develop new insights on adaptation design measures that are effective both in the short term and in the long term future to the effects of climate change, in a carbon constrained environment of a developing country. She hope inspire and motivate as many young talents as possible, especially young girls, to reach their goals and life time dreams by providing guidance, encouragement and information and nurturing their college aspirations.
