Celeste is a young professional with a passion for international development, enterprise and all things Africa. She currently works as an economist at Databank Group, where she covers commodity, currency and fixed income markets across 15 African economies, among other responsibilities. While still in the early stages of her career, her professional experience has already included work in finance (Goldman Sachs and Databank Group), communications/media (American Enterprise Institute) and education (in Ghana and France).
A true global citizen, Celeste has schooled in four countries and visited several others in between. She holds an MPhil in Development Studies from the University of Cambridge, where she volunteered with SOS Children UK and the Africa’s Voices Interactive Radio project while serving on the executive committee of the Cambridge Africa Business Network . At the undergraduate level, Celeste graduated magna cum laude from Mount Holyoke College, where she completed a double major in Economics and French. She also obtained a certificate in International Relations from the Five College Consortium in Western Massachusetts.
Her dream is to see Africa’s talented youth adequately equipped with the essential opportunities, exposure and problem-solving skills that empower them to find their niche within a fast-evolving global economy.
